IT Operations

Helpdesk that knows your environment, not just your ticket.

Uzado's Canadian helpdesk runs on engineers who also know your security posture and your compliance scope. End-user support without breaking your audit trail.

What it is

Managed helpdesk, defined

A managed helpdesk is the user-facing layer of IT: the place tickets land, get triaged, and get resolved. Done well, it is the part of IT your business actually feels every day.

The default failure mode for SMB helpdesk is volume hiding rot. Tickets close, but the same five issues keep returning. Provisioning is slow because nobody owns the joiner workflow. Privileged operations get done casually because the engineer is in a hurry. None of this is visible until an audit asks for evidence or a phishing email lands on the CFO and the helpdesk performs the password reset without verification.

Uzado's helpdesk is built around named engineers who know your environment, a documented runbook for every common ticket, and a verification protocol for the sensitive operations. It is operationally fast and audit-defensible at the same time, which is the only useful definition of a good helpdesk.

What's included

The full ticket queue, handled

End-user support

Tier 1 and tier 2 support for password resets, application issues, M365 questions, VPN troubleshooting, and the everyday tickets that drain internal IT.

Device provisioning

Laptop builds, image management through Intune Autopilot, peripheral pairing, and shipping coordination for distributed teams.

Access requests

Application access, group membership, file share permissions, and licence assignment, processed through a documented request flow with approver-of-record.

Microsoft 365 & Teams support

Mailbox issues, calendar permissions, Teams configuration, OneDrive sync, and SharePoint navigation. The most common ticket category, handled at speed.

VPN troubleshooting

Remote-access VPN, client connectivity, MFA prompt issues, and conditional access friction triaged with the network team to closure.

Onboarding & offboarding

Documented joiner-mover-leaver workflows: account creation, group placement, device delivery, and the full revocation path on departure.

Service modes

Co-managed or fully outsourced

In a co-managed engagement, your internal IT team keeps the projects, vendor work, or specific applications they want to own, and Uzado handles the steady-state ticket queue. In a fully outsourced engagement, Uzado is the helpdesk: a single channel, a single set of named engineers, and a single SLA your users feel.

Both models work. The choice is usually a function of how strategic IT is to your business and how much of it you want to staff internally. Uzado will recommend one over the other based on your team and your trajectory, and the model can move over time without changing providers.

How we deliver

A four-step engagement model

01
Discovery & runbook

Understand your environment, the apps your users actually use, and the business cadence. Translate that into a runbook the helpdesk works from.

02
Onboarding

Stand up the ticketing channel, integrate with your identity provider, and set the first response and resolution SLAs against your business hours.

03
Run

Tickets handled by named engineers who know your environment. Escalations follow a defined path; the on-call engineer never starts from zero.

04
Continuous improvement

Monthly ticket trend review, runbook updates, and proactive fixes that reduce ticket volume rather than just closing tickets faster.

FAQ

Common helpdesk questions

Are your helpdesk engineers in Canada?+

Yes. Uzado's helpdesk is staffed by Canadian engineers. Time zones, language, and the regulatory context (PIPEDA, provincial privacy law) match your business by default.

Do you offer 24x7 support?+

Standard coverage is business hours, with after-hours on-call for severity-one issues. Continuous 24x7 coverage is available as an upgrade for organisations whose end users work outside the standard window.

Can you co-manage with our internal IT team?+

Yes. In a co-managed model, your IT team retains the work it wants to keep (typically project work, vendor management, or a specific application) and Uzado handles the steady-state ticket queue. Boundaries are documented in the runbook so users always know who to call.

How do you handle security-aware support?+

Every engineer is trained on phishing recognition, social engineering resistance, and the security playbook for password resets and MFA changes. Sensitive operations (account unlocks for privileged users, MFA reset on a CFO account) follow a verification protocol designed to defeat impersonation.

What ticketing system do you use?+

Uzado runs ConnectWise as the PSA platform. We can integrate with your existing ticketing tool if your processes require it; the underlying SLAs and runbooks are unaffected.

How do you measure SLA performance?+

First response time, resolution time, and customer satisfaction are reported monthly with trend lines. SLA targets are set at onboarding and revisited annually based on actual ticket volume and severity mix.
